Weddings are beautiful. The vows, the joy, the gathering of friends and family — all of it wrapped in celebration. But long after the cake is cut and the photos are framed, marriage begins in earnest — quiet, raw, beautiful, and often... challenging.
There’s a quiet ache that runs through many boys’ lives — the absence, silence, or unpredictability of their fathers. Sometimes it’s physical absence. Other times, it’s emotional distance. But whatever form it takes, that gap often leaves questions that echo far into adulthood: Am I enough? Does anyone see me? Who am I supposed to become?
There’s something sacred and stretching about raising boys. It’s joyful, often hilarious, and deeply rewarding — but it can also be confusing, exhausting, and unexpectedly emotional. At Asingi, our MOB Forum (Mothers of Boys) brings women together who are walking this road, each with her own story, but all asking similar questions: Am I doing this right? Does he hear me? Is he okay?
